» Look Inside The Book
Each year prior to National Prohibition, the publishers of the Western Brewer magazine in Chicago issued the "Brewers Hand Book." The bulk of each issue consisted of the "Brewers List." This was a complete list of every operating brewery in America, arranged by city and state. Each brewery entry contains the address and an indication of the types of beer brewed (ale, lager, porter, weiss beer, etc.) and whether they operated their own malt house and/or bottling house.
Also included in the Hand Books are:
-A List of brewmasters in America, Canada and Mexico
-A List of Brewers. Associations
